A set of calorimeter blocks can be used to determine the heat capacity of materials. With this device, the heat capacity can be determined by quantifying the amount of electricity required to heat the calorimeter from and to a certain temperature over a certain period of time.
The calorimeter unit consists of four kinds of metal cylinders: aluminum, brass, copper and iron, each weighing about 500 grams. Each of the four cylinders is equipped with a foam casing that helps prevent heat exchange with the environment. They also have two holes for the immersion heater and thermometer.
The training kit allows you to analyze the change in length of the rod under the effect of thermal expansion.
Hot steam is used to heat the elements.
